Rolling the Fender Lip For Clearance

Often the rear tires that we put on our cars are just a little bit too wide and rub slightly on the inner fender lip.  Heres a step by step guide to bending the lip up and out of the way.

I have to admit that these instructions are from the http://integra.vtec.net site, I was going to write my own but decided that there was just no way I could say it any better.

1. Peel off the rubber fender lip protector as shown.

Here's another shot of what the fender lip looks like.

2. Place Mr. Louisville as such. It will be easier to start towards the sides and then twist the Slugger upwards until it's at the top.

3. Though this pic shows the bat angled down, I would recommend pushing the bat gently upwards to get the fender lip bending initially.

4. After the lips bend up enough, you can start pushing down to really start trying to get that lip tucked back up.

You should also angle the bat forwards like this to get that lip to gently bend up.

5. Here you can see the fender lip already starting to yield to my awesome telekinetic skills and bat power.

6. Place the rubber stip back and whaa-la! It's done....for now, and you really can't even tell.

Heres a pic of a real neat tool that was made just for this job.  No I don't know where it came from or who made it.
